This is a painting representing Mike Mullan's Helmut. I will post pictures of the painting as I work to complete it. He is one of the Firefighters that I worked with at 12 Truck. Mike passed away on 09/11/01 along with several other Firefighters from my house. I have approched my Instructor at the NY Academy of Art about having different artists paint a helmut for the each of the 343 Firefighters who passed away on Sept. 11th. The pieces would be exhibited all at once as a tribute to the Firefighters and their families. I am just starting to get this organized and will keep you informed as to the progress of the project with additonal posts.
This small yellow pepper caused me a great deal of grief. I just could not seem to get the picture right. I have reworked is several times and hope that it captured the image.
This is nude that we did during the 1st part of the semster in Robert's class. I will not even show you the paintings that I did in class last year. There has been a good deal of improvment in my paintings and I hope that this curve will continue over the next year or two of class
This is that start of one the paintings that I will be doing in my class with Robert Armetta (http://www.robertarmetta.com/). I really enjoy the class and feel that Robert has motivated me to practice my craft and develop it to realize my full potential. I will post the progess of my class pictures on this site.
Hello everyone. This a painting from the top of my friends building. I have chosen to do one of the towers of the GW Bridge. I should be able to finish the picture within the next week. The day that I painted this picture it was quite windy, but beautiful. I hope that I can get one more of those days this week.

This is a picture of my son Max's Crayons. It is one of the 1st pictures that I have done in my one painting a day quest. I hope that you will be able to follow along and chart my progress as an artist.
Egg in a Cup. As most of you know I love to eat and food will be one of my favorite subjects. You will be seeing many paintings of my favorite snacks in the following weeks. I look forward to the challanges of depicting some fatting desserts in the near future.
